In 1996, the Queen issues an ultimatum to the couple to order them to divorce. Charles accepts the first, Diana eventually agrees. The marriage is officialy disolved on 28 August 1996. In spite of it, Diana keeps the title of Princess of Wales but looses the one of HRH (Her Royal Highness).
